We are writing to you on the eve of the upcoming municipal elections to garner support for the initiative by the residents of our area to fight the upcoming Municipal Elections which are scheduled to be held on 21.02.2017.

Honestly, when we started this initiative we were not quite sure that we will be able to nominate even one of our candidates in the upcoming elections, needless to mention is the fact that, nitty-gritty of elections, political tricks and fundas were a few of the reasons for our above thought. 

However, due to the strong determination of the members of the forum and wide spread support received from the residents, we are happy to inform you that, now in addition to the panel of three political parties, we have one Society’s Panel contesting the upcoming elections. Our candidates are:

Residents of Pimple Saudagar have written a new chapter in the political history, today. You, we and all the residents of Pimple Saudagar are already a winner, as it is for the first time that residents of societies, have come together to nominate their own panel to fight the municipal elections. It is first of its kind initiative in Maharashtra. 

We are sure, that this initiative of residents of Pimple Saudagar will not be limited to our Prabhag, i.e. Pimple Saudagar in coming years. We are sure, taking this initiative further, in the next elections, residents of societies from Wakad, Thergaon, Ravet, Poonawale and other area of PCMC & Pune will also come forward to fight the elections. 

The forthcoming fight on 21.02.2017 is not the fight of handful of individual but it is your fight too. These candidates are fighting for us, for you and for all the other residents of our area. If these candidates win, it is our victory, it is your victory, it is victory of the residents. If they become corporators, in true sense you have become corporators. We are sure that they will leave no stone unturned to raise our voice and grievances and to get the same resolved. 

Our area is developed only in terms of the concrete jungle and the very basic amenities such as Garden, School, Bhaji-Mandi, Playground are missing despite of reservations for the same being available under the current development plan. This situation needs to change, and it is only and only you who can bring the change.
